We care for all ages at Wiregrass DPC, however some of our most important teaching comes with the aging adult population. There are many clinical guidelines and protocols that must be followed when caring for our aging population. This is done to primarily promote overall health and wellness and increase the longevity of life in our aging seniors. If you haven't heard about HEDIS, or CCM, you will very soon.
Family medicine rotation is usually the last rotation to sum up all that has been learned over the time in clinicals and hopefully put a polished touch on your didactic and clinical experience.
Our clinical requires an application and interview to be a part of our practice's clinical teaching. We are entrusting students to help assist in providing care to our patients and we do not take that decision lightly. If you are just "looking to get hours done", please do them somewhere else. We have a lot to give and we are not looking to waste our time on those not interested in pursuing their career as a health care provider. We prioritize our student learning in our office and expect high quality professional conduct and attire when in our clinic.
