Michael Ipock, APRN Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
Michael is a Board Certified Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with over 19 years experience in the medical field, most of that experience was in Emergency Departments in Missouri and Florida. Michael is compassionate about his care for others and hopes to build lasting relationships with his patients and their families.
Michael is a Graduate of Maryville University out of St. Louis Missouri. He and his wife Erin and their two children William, and Kenzi moved to the Tampa area in 2016. Living professional lives with teenagers is tough, which is one of the reasons why Michael is passionate about 24/7 Direct Primary Care memberships. These memberships allow busy professionals like themselves to receive care they deserve and can trust.
April Marie Fogg, FNP-C Family Nurse Practitioner
April Fogg is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner who is excited to be a part of the Wiregrass Direct Primary Care team. She is originally from Virginia, but comes to us from Tennessee where she attended East Tennessee State University and graduated with her Bachelors in Nursing in 2018. As a nurse, April has worked in many fields, including cardiology, surgery, and IV therapy. She attended the University of Tampa and graduated with her Master’s in Family Nursing Practice in 2022. She is passionate about preventative medicine and treating the whole person, mentally, physically and emotionally. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 dogs.

Christine Raffoul, FNP-BC Family Nurse Practitioner
Christine Raffoul grew up in Tampa, Florida, and graduated from South University as a Registered Nurse. She spent the last ten years serving her community in the Emergency Department and Cardiology specialty. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner from South University and chose to continue providing care to the community she loves most. Outside of practicing as a Nurse Practitioner with Wiregrass Direct Primary Care, she loves to spend time with her family, prioritizes health and fitness, and travels for leisure. Cheyanne Lopez, FNP-C Family Nurse Practitioner
Cheyanne Lopez is thrilled to join the Wiregrass Direct Primary Care team as a dedicated Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner. With a strong foundation in medicine, Cheyanne has gained extensive experience serving her community in various settings, including the Adult Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Pediatric specialty care.
A proud graduate of South University in Tampa, Cheyanne earned her Master’s in Family Nurse Practice in 2024. Her passion lies in delivering preventative medicine and personalized, patient-centered comprehensive care to the community.
Having grown up in the Tampa Bay Area, Cheyanne is deeply connected to the region. When she’s not caring for her patients, she cherishes time with her husband, their two children, Arlette and Deuce, their puppy, Lady Leia, and their cat, Autumn. Committed to a healthy and active lifestyle, Cheyanne enjoys staying fit and making the most of her time off.
Robert Compitello, FNP-BC Family Nurse Practitioner
Robert is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over ten years of medical experience. His clinical background was in critical care and in Emergency Medicine, and he completed his medical internship with Wiregrass Direct Primary Care in Family Medicine. Robert graduated from South University with a Master’s degree in Family nurse practitioner in 2024. He is passionate about providing care and help the community with his medical expertise. Robert is excited to start a new journey with Wiregrass Direct Primary Care Clinic and become a part of the team.
James Coon, FNP-C Family Nurse Practitioner
Originally from Connecticut, James embarked on a healthcare education journey in Tampa, after which he spent a decade in South Florida before returning to his home in Tampa Bay. He has 13 years of experience in healthcare, most of which included nursing in the Emergency Department. James graduated from South University, obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing in November 2022. He is passionate about patient education, empowering individuals to actively participate in their healthcare journey for optimal wellness and longevity. Through personalized care plans and patient advocacy, he embodies a holistic approach to healthcare, ensuring patients are informed and empowered to make health-conscious decisions. In James, patients find not just a practitioner, but a dedicated ally committed to guiding them toward a healthier, more fulfilling life. James lives in Wesley Chapel with his family, with whom he enjoys spending time, along with their chihuahua, Archie.
Athena L Valencia, MD
Athena is an Internal Medicine Physician that has been practicing for more than 30 years. She completed her residency in 1990 at Mercy Hospital after graduating from University of the East/Ramon Memorial Medical Center in 1987.
