Michael Ipock, APRN Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
Michael is a Board Certified Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with over 19 years experience in the medical field, most of that experience was in Emergency Departments in Missouri and Florida. Michael is compassionate about his care for others and hopes to build lasting relationships with his patients and their families.
Michael is a Graduate of Maryville University out of St. Louis Missouri. He and his wife Erin and their two children William, and Kenzi moved to the Tampa area in 2016. Living professional lives with teenagers is tough, which is one of the reasons why Michael is passionate about 24/7 Direct Primary Care memberships. These memberships allow busy professionals like themselves to receive care they deserve and can trust.
Robert Compitello, FNP-BC Family Nurse Practitioner
Robert is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over ten years of medical experience. His clinical background was in critical care and in Emergency Medicine, and he completed his medical internship with Wiregrass Direct Primary Care in Family Medicine. Robert graduated from South University with a Master’s degree in Family nurse practitioner in 2024. He is passionate about providing care and help the community with his medical expertise. Robert is excited to start a new journey with Wiregrass Direct Primary Care Clinic and become a part of the team.
James Coon, FNP-C Family Nurse Practitioner
Originally from Connecticut, James embarked on a healthcare education journey in Tampa, after which he spent a decade in South Florida before returning to his home in Tampa Bay. He has 13 years of experience in healthcare, most of which included nursing in the Emergency Department. James graduated from South University, obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing in November 2022. He is passionate about patient education, empowering individuals to actively participate in their healthcare journey for optimal wellness and longevity. Through personalized care plans and patient advocacy, he embodies a holistic approach to healthcare, ensuring patients are informed and empowered to make health-conscious decisions. In James, patients find not just a practitioner, but a dedicated ally committed to guiding them toward a healthier, more fulfilling life. James lives in Wesley Chapel with his family, with whom he enjoys spending time, along with their chihuahua, Archie.
Athena L Valencia, MD
Athena is an Internal Medicine Physician that has been practicing for more than 30 years. She completed her residency in 1990 at Mercy Hospital after graduating from University of the East/Ramon Memorial Medical Center in 1987.
